Graham-Kapowsin has become a well-known school now days since the football teams’ victory over Georgia’s Collins Hill HS & #1 football recruit Travis Hunter. This Georgia team was loaded with D-1 prospects and their confidence was soaring heading into the matchup. However, Graham-Kapowsin would win it with a last second TD pass from their star QB Joshua Wood. He will be attending/playing for Eastern Washington where Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp attended during his college days. Suffice to say the Washington 4A State Champs proved everyone wrong in beating one of the Nation’s highest regarded programs. Thus, walking into this game against Union the Graham-Kapowsin nations confidence was rising, especially as they got off to an early lead.
Union on the other hand had different plans, after a slow start they gained their composure and sure enough grabbed the lead. After that they did not look back, final result 66-61 Union got the win. Now after beating the popular Washington team, they are heading up north to take on Curtis HS on Thursday 2/17/22. The winner of that match will meet the winner of Tahoma vs. Federal Way. Stay with us on Union’s journey to a State title.
