Russell Wilson – Did He Break our Hearts? Or Was it Time to Move On?

Let’s take it back…back to 2012, as the Seahawks selected Russ in the 3rd round of the draft.

Seattle had just spent a whole lotta cash money on Mr. Matt Flynn to pry him away from the Green Bay Packers. He was supposed to be the Franchise QB for the Seahawks for the next 10 years or so…though all he did was carve up a decaying Detroit team [it pains me to say this as a Detroit fan but it’s true].

Anyway…Flynn would get beat out for the starting job by the new young gun that could extend plays and win games.

Wilson would go on to win a Super Bowl, be Selected to the Pro-Bowl 9 times, Lead the league in Passer & Rating & Touchdown among his various other achievements.

This year the Seahawks are as stingy as ever, after letting the LOB disband and losing several key players due to their belief, they could replace them…have let their once savior just walk away.

The return was decent …but with their history drafting in the 1st round…not really their forte. Seattle just let the man that brought their franchise to relevancy go and will be kicking themselves for the next decade if not longer for this terrible choice.
